ARRIVALS

Hamburg Airport is a City Airport, regular ride by car is about 20 minutes. If you advise your arrival date, time and flight no. we will pick you up. A ride by taxi is approx. € 20-30. You can, but you dont have to tip the driver. There is as well a direct subway to the central train station, which is less expensive. Hamburg has well developed system of underground trains and busses, there is a weekly ticket for € 22,50 if you are interested in exploring the city. If you have any special interests, please let us know.

CLIMATE

November can bring basically every weather, but for sure it will be either very cold or very rainy. Snow is possible. Do not worry, we might be underdeveloped when it comes to ACs but our heating systems are top notch.

LANGUAGES

You will get along with English, most restaurants also have English menus, but dont expect everybody to speak it. Hamburg is a Melting Pot and for a lot of immigrants, German is already the second language. Universal sign language will work and those of you who traveled worldwide will not have a problem.

STREETWISE

Hamburg is liberal and easy going. You can be fined for jay-walking, but you can drink in the streets. Hamburg is not as bad as many major metros, but of course we have crime as well. You can park a 100,000 dollar car in the streets, but you should lock it.

SPORTS & LEISURE

There is beautiful park PLANTEN UN BLOMEN in walking distance. you can go ice skating or simply go jogging. The maxium roundtrip is about 5 miles. There are maps at every entrance.
